Greenhouse Manager

Greenhouse managers oversee the work of few to several greenhouses and support structures and facilities. A greenhouse operation generally consists of several greenhouses, cold frames, equipment sheds, offices, shipping facilities, storage facilities, and etc.
The greenhouse industry is defined as the growing and marketing of bedding plants, flowering potted plants, cut flowers, and foliage plants. While many of these crops can be and are grown outdoors, more often than not they are produced in the protective structure of a greenhouse.

A greenhouse manager is the person responsible for the growing of plants that may be sold locally or distributed around the state, nation or world. Their products may be sold retail at the greenhouses or sold wholesale to supermarkets, flower shops, or lawn and gardening stores. Sometimes greenhouse operations are involved in both retail and wholesale businesses.
