Adopt a Community Building for Beautification |
Description: |
Students adopt and improve the value and/or the appearance of a building within the community. This is an easy project for students that do not have projects at their home. It also is a project that builds community spirit and pride. Students may adopt areas at the public library, elementary or middle schools, community centers, chamber of commerce buildings etc. Improvement activities may include: landscaping the site, installing irrigation, maintenance of the grounds, mulching beds, planting annuals or perennials, etc. Student should draw up and agreement between them and the owners for supplies to be purchased and on hand.
