Raise a Horse for Show |
Description: |
Raising a horse for show allows a student to participate in equine shows and events, to develop equine skills and develop a long-term horse operation. A small land area is needed but a shelter (stable) with hay and feed storage with tack room is essential. An exercise or riding area is also needed and some pasture will reduce feed costs. A horse project requires a considerable investment in the horse, equipment and tack. Horse projects are normally most successful when they involve the entire family. |
